on the run is book 3. in this book ivy is on the run from the braxton's in a rv. she spots this truck following her. and she thinks it is the braxton's so she out runs them. she wands up in a small town in oklahoma where she stays the night in the parking lot of a farm and feed store. the next morning she learns about a job that she may could get. so she goes to this home where it is at and no one answers the door so she leaves a note and leaves and stops off at a dinner/truck stop kind of thing where she stays for the night. as she is getting ready for bed there is a knock on the rv's door so she goes to answer it and there is this young woman there who is all beat up and bruised. so ivy asks her to stay. the next morning ivy tells this young about the job offer and asks if she would like to come long. so ivy goes back to that house and while they are there waiting for the owners to return they notice that the owners are died. so they call the cops and at first they think it is a murder/suicide but it later turns out differently but ivy and the young woman has a feeling right from the beginning that it wasnt murder/suicide. the owner's son asks them to stay on as caretakers until he can find the will so that way he can get things settled to where he can sell the place. ivy learns the real reason to why the young woman is all beat up. and they solve the murder of the owners of the home they are taken care of.
