curiosity thrilled the cat by sofie kelly

this book is about a woman name kathleen, who is living in a town called mayville heights. she is the head librarian who has two cats. one of the cats sneaks out and follows her to the library. he jumps on some dude name easton's head. the next day kathleen finds mr. easton dead. she becomes a suspect. kathleen witness her other cat walk thru a door. yep a door not a door way. her other cat is always disappearing and is always taken something from some one. they (the cats) tries to help kathleen in solving the death of mr easton. kathleen is always getting hurt some how at the library. she suspects the contactor who is remodeling the library is causing her to get hurt. she solves the murder and gets a man at the end of the book.


i think this book 4 stars out of 5. it is a good book.

poison ink by christopher golden

a young girl name sammi has four best friends. they are really close almost like sisters. sammi meets a guy name adam (who she calls cutie adam) and starts to date him. her parents are fighting. sammi and her four best friends makes a pack to get a tattoo. they all go to a place to get the tattoo. all four of sammi's friends gets the tattoo. sammi backs out and then to make it up to them she tells them she will go back and get the tattoo. she calls her cousin who is dating a girl that owns a tattoo place. and sammi makes her friends thinks she got it. they all find out that she didnt and they stop being friends with her. sammi goes to a basketball game with her cousin, his girlfriend, and other girl. she tries to stop a fight her ex best friends are in and they beat her up really bad. sammi notice that the tattoo didnt look right. she figured that the tattoo artist had put a spell on them. she tries to save them but in the end she only saves 3 out of 4.


i give this book a four stars out of five. it kept me really interesting.

the iron queen by julie kagawa book 3 of iron fey

as meghan and ash relationship progress she learns she can not go home again. so she goes to see the old woman who took her memory to get it back. the memory that she lost (well traded) was of the man she always thought was her dad. she goes back to the queen of the exile to get her dad back. she gets her dad back and it takes him awhile to remember who meghan is. ash is teaching meghan how to fight. meghan's learns how the queen of the exile got her dad. so now she is angry at robbie. robbie thinks he still has a chance with meghan. but in truth he doesnt. meghan's blood father sends for her. both him and the winter queen (ash's mother) ask for them to return to the nevernever to help them fight the iron fey. so they go back to help. meghan, ash, and robbie goes to the land of the iron fey to find the false iron king to kill him. ash, robbie, and meghan meets up with ash's brother rowan to hear the offer the false iron king has for her. she tells him that she will not take his offer that they will fight. ash and meghan gets in a disagreement but they make up. then they go to war with the false iron king. then meghan release ash from being her knight so that way he would die when she dies (she thought she was dieing) and then she becomes the iron queen.



out of 5 stars i will give it 4 3/4 stars. it was a really good book. go and pick it up along with the iron king and iron daughter. and keep a watch for when i go pick up the iron knight and read it and review it.

the iron daughter by julie kagawa

in the book 2 of the iron fey meghan is in the unseelie court not really a hostage but is a hostage. no one in the unseelie court likes her and they would like to see her dead. meghan doesnt know where ash is at. ash's brother rowan tricks meghan in revealing how she feels about ash. ash's other brother sage is murder by the iron faery. ash helps meghan escape from the unseelie court. meghan's best friend robbie comes back. ash leaves meghan he tells her that things will not work out between them. robbie tells meghan that he loves her and that he would wait for her to get over ash. robbie and meghan gets help from a iron faery in helping to stop a war between the unseelie court and the seelie court. they get chased by a dragon. they stay with the queen of exile in the between the nevernever and the human world. meghan gets a make over. meghan finds out that ash has been brainwashed. she has to go and save her family. as she saves her family she saves ash also. meghan, robbie, and ash goes to meghan's old school for a dance to heal ash quicker. meghan stops the faery war and gets ash back.



out of 5 stars i give the iron daughter a 4 and half stars. it is a really good. i will recommend everyone to read this book.

a great and terrible beauty by libba bray pt 2

i have read pages 99 thru 304. i have about 99 more pages to go. the book has gotten really interesting now. gemma has made some friends at the boarding school. she is using her magical powers. thru her magical powers she is able to spend time with her mother. her mother is trying to warning her about a monster that is after her. but she really isnt listen. she is only interest in using her powers.

that is pretty much all i have gotten read so far. i maybe able to finish reading it tomorrow and be able to update you all on it tomorrow night and give you a rating on it.

and oh the next book i read maybe the iron daughter it is book two in the iron fey series.

a great and terrible beauty by libba bray

well i was waiting on the fedex to run and taken a break from unpacking i decided to pick out a book from our collection of books to read that i hadnt read yet. so i decided on a great and terrible beauty by libba bray. so far it has been a okay book. i have read 98 pages out of 403 pages.

it is about a girl name gemma, who turns sixteen in the year of 1895. she is living in india with her family. and is wanting to go to london. she gets in a disagreement with her mother. her mother dies and her and the rest of her family goes to england to bury her mother and to live. her family decides to send her to a finish school or boarding school whatever they called it back during that time. and she is having visions of the future.


that is pretty much all i have gotten read so far. i will try to update you all on it some more tomorrow or maybe later tonight one.

i didnt get to read any last night and probably wont get to read any tonight to. i am in the process of moving so it will probably be like tomorrow night or monday night one when i will be able to get to read some.

the iron king by julie kagawa chapters 12 to the end

i told you yesterday i would try to read the rest of the book last night. well i did. it was a really good book. in chapter 12 meghan goes to a party at the seelie court where the unseelie court was going to be there. and she meets a prince from the unseelie court who had tried to kill her not long after enter the nevernever. and while at the court a monster attacks. chapter 13 she escapes from the seelie court to continue looking for her brother. she has to escape thru her and it was easier to the unseelie court thru her world also. and she learns she has powers but she doesnt know how to use them. chapter 14 she meets a mean unseelie fairy. as she goes to the door that will carry her to the unseelie court. chapter 15 her best friend returns to help look for her brother. she enters into the nevernever at the unseelie court where the unseelie prince was waiting for them. chapter 16 she meets the iron fairy (well i guess i should say iron fey because that is how it is spelled in the book and fairy is spelled faery in the book also so sorry for my spelling mistakes). the iron fey tries to kidnap her to carry her to the iron king. and she also learns that iron king has her brother. but her best friend and unseelie prince rescue her from the iron fey. chapter 17 meghan, robbie (her best friend), and ash (the unseelie prince) and the cat (you cant forget the cat) team to go get her brother and learn more about the iron fey. and they go to this faery that lives in meghan's world (the human world) to see if she knows where the iron king lives and how to kill him. but first they have to rest because the iron fey had hurt ash so he had to heal. and then meghan gets drunk on faery wine. chapter 18 the meet up with the faery that lives in human world and the learn where the iron fey is at and how to kill the iron king. chapter 19 the go to the park where the weapon to kill the iron king is at. also her best friend robbie is hurt and the he goes into like a coma for the faery to heal and she doesnt know when he will wake up. chapter 20 meghan and ash and even the cat is leaving the park to go to nevernever where the iron fey lives. but the cat tells them he is leaving them. so it is just ash and meghan. ash kisses meghan. chapter 21 they meet the iron fey knights. chapter 22 ash risks his life to save meghan so she could continue to on her mission of rescuing her brother and kill the iron king. chapter 23 meghan meets the iron king and she learns that ash isnt dead like she thought. chapter 24 the iron king tries to make a deal with meghan. chapter 25 meghan carries her brother home. (the end of the book)


okay now my thoughts on the book. the is really good. i give it a 4 stars out of 5. the reason i didnt give it all 5 stars because of some of the bad words in it. it is suppose to be a teen book. so if you have kids or teens and you dont want them to read books with bad words then dont let them read this book if you dont care it is a good book for them to read.

the iron king by julie kagawa chapters 4 thru 11

yep i did alot of reading last night. chapters 4 thru 11 was really good. in chapter 4 she finds out who her best friend really is. in chapter 5 she goes to the nevernever (fairyland) to get her brother back. chapter six a pack of dogs goes hunt for her and her best friend and she loose sight of her friend. in chapter seven she meets up with this cat and makes a deal with tho help her find her friend and she nearly gets eaten by goblins. chapter eight she escapes the goblins with the help of the cat and then nearly dies by the goblins poison on a spear. and some creature she does not know what helps heal her. chapter nine she goes to a fairy court called the seelie court. and chapter ten she meets the king and learns that he is really her father and not the man she always thought. and chapter 11 she meets the queen. the queen really doesnt like her.


i will update tomorrow. i may have the rest read or may not. but either way i will have more of the book read. but so far it is a really good book.

the iron king by julie kagawa chapters 2 & 3

i was just going to read one chapter last night but i wanded up reading two chapters. chapter 2 was really good. the boy that meghan was crushing on play a horrible joke on her. dont want to spoil that so i just say it was horrible ( you got to read the book people lol). her best friend robbie is not who he seems. in chapter 3 her mother gets hurt and she has to watch her little brother and he turns into a little monster. and she finds out that robbie isnt human.


okay that is all i am going to say about those two chapters. so far it has been a really good book. i will post more tomorrow about other chapters i read tonight. may try to read more then two lol.

the iron king by julie kagawa

i am reading the iron king by julie kagawa. so far i have only read one chapter. and it has been a pretty good book so far. in the first chapter a girl name meghan father comes up missing when she is 6 years old. and her mother moves them to some other town where she meets a pig farmer and marry him. and then she has a little brother. then it goes to where she is fixing to 16 years old. the day before her birthday she gets ready for school goes down to breaksfast and her mother is gone to town for some kind of meeting. and her stepfather is sitting and reading a newspaper and feeding her little brother. her stepfather treats like she is not there at times. her neighbor scares her nearly to death (you know how 15 year olds are. ) meghan goes to school and is suppose to be tutoring her crush but that turns out bad. then she finds out when her mom comes to pick her up that her little brother is hurt by some monster while she is at school but her mother and stepfather thinks it was the dog. and that is where chapter one ends.

i will try to read chapter two tonight and tell you about it tomorrow.
