about the book
(got off of amazon)
In a society driven by celebutante news and myspace profiles, women of
class, style and charm are hard to come by. The Audrey and Katharines of
the world continue to lose their luster as thongs, rehab and outrageous
behavior burn up the daily headlines. But, despite appearances, guys
still want a girl they can take home to their mom, employers still like
to see a tailored suit and peers still respect classy conduct. So is it
possible to maintain old fashioned virtues in a modern world without
looking like a starchy Amish grandma? Christy shows women how in this
guide to glamorous style, professional success and true love...the
classy way.
Full of fun assignments, notable names and real-life
examples, Christy offers a new look at seemingly "old fashioned"
advice. She covers diet, speech, work ethic, friends, relationships,
manners, makeup, and fashionable yet modest clothing, showing modern
ladies how they can be beautiful, intelligent and fun while retaining
values and morals.
my thoughts about the book.
It is a okay. I do have a problem with one thing in the book and that is that a woman shouldnt ask a man out. There is nothing wrong with a woman asking a man out. I basically asked my husband out and we have been together every since that day. With that being said lets move on. This book is okay and does have some good points in it. Us women and even men try to keep up with what celebrities looks and etc. We shouldnt worry about what they are wearing or etc,. We should worry about ourselves.
Would I reread this book again. Probably not. It started out very interesting but then just went to blah.
Would I recommend this book. Well if you want to read it, I am not going to stop you. You can read it for yourself if you want to but I will most likely not be reading it again but who knows what the future holds.
Happy reading.
