Circulus de Potentia (Magicae Mathematica Book 2) by Jim West

Circulus de Potentia (Magicae Mathematica Book 2 ) by Jim West

About the book
A festival in Nosaj’s honor has been interrupted by a mysterious challenger wearing the Circulus de Potentia, a band of gold that gives him unstoppable strength and power. One by one the Guardians fall and a race is on for Alex to go find the wizard with a secret regarding the curious symbol on the golden band. Finding this peculiar wizard named Pythagoras wouldn't be such a daunting task if it wasn't for the packs of wolves that roam the forest and a maze she and her friends will have to solve as well as a riddle fashioned by Daedalus himself. What awaits Alex in the Forest of Factors? Can Archimedes solve the equation in time? Can the Guardians stop this invincible challenger?

A symbol unknown, a riddle unsolved, a maze guarded by a monster, a race against time to find the secrets of the Circulus de Potentia and the most precious thing in the world.

My thoughts on the book.

I really love this book. It is very good. I felt like I was part of the book. I felt like I was going a long with Alex and her friends on their journey to find Pythagoras. I wish I had had these books when I was younger, it may have helped me learn math a little better or at least gave me a good read. Yes I will recommend this book to everyone and their kids. But please keep in mind that this book has fighting in it (it doesnt give much details of fights but it does give some) so if you do not want your kids to read any books with fighting in it no matter how much it has then this is not a book for them. If you are okay with the fighting parts then let them read these books. They are really good and who knows it may help them do better in math or least give them a little bit more understanding of math.

Happy reading.
