a witch in time by madelyn alt

a witch in time is about a woman named maggie oneill. she has a date night planned with her boyfriend to spend the evening at his house watching movies and having a dinner. while she is over there she gets a call saying that her sister is in the hospital having her baby and is having problems. so she has to leave. but her boyfriend (marcus) tells her that he will go with her. they get to the hospital and her still hasnt had the baby. marcus meets her mother, father, and grandpa. her grandpa is a funny old man. when everyone has their attention on something else her grandpa leaves the waiting room. her mother panics alittle so maggie and marcus goes in search of her grandpa. they find him in the cafeteria flirting with some interns. maggie decides to get everyone something to eat but she sends marcus and her grandpa back up to the waiting room. she gets in the elevator to go up and it stops moving and the power goes out. then after alittle while she hears two men talking about something. it makes her worry more then what she was. once the elevator is working again she is back on the floor of the waiting room and falls in marcus arms. they go back to the waiting room and wait some more. then marcus, maggie, and her grandpa decides to go outside for alittle bit. then after alittle bit they go back in and learn that her sister just didnt have one baby but two. maggie's sister's husband didnt stay at the hospital with his little family so maggie stays with her. maggie is woke up during the middle of night at first she thought it was the nurse bring the babies back in the room. she goes to the door and sees two people arguing about something. the next day maggie is on her way out the hospital go to work and she falls and breaks her ankle. she stays with marcus while her ankles is healing. and they also help solve a murder to.

this is a really good book. it took me a whole day to read it. i recommend if you like mysteries go pick this up and read it.
